Meet Kim Rathe

Founder of True North Partnerships

It all begins with an idea.

For Kim Rathe, this idea was more than just a saying, it was a calling.

Kim’s journey into coaching and consulting developed naturally from her desire to serve and mentor others, with the goal of empowering leaders, educators, administrators, and managers across various industries. She is dedicated to helping individuals find their own true north in leadership, guiding them to lead with confidence, authenticity, and integrity.

A proud graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Kim earned her Master’s degree in Education, where she was recognized for her academic and athletic achievements. As a standout member of the UNL track team, Kim was an All-American pole vaulter and later returned as a graduate assistant. Bringing her leadership skills full circle, Kim went on to coach at the high school level where many of her athletes went on to become state champions.

For 19 years, Kim served as an educator for Lincoln Public Schools, where she impacted countless students, staff, and fellow educators. In 2022, she took a bold step into consulting, leveraging her experience as a development coach to support both school districts and businesses. Her work as a coach has left an enduring mark on the teams she partners with, fostering growth and positive change.

Kim founded True North Partnerships out of a commitment to her values and a passion for unlocking human potential. She is driven by her unwavering belief in the power of growth, equity, and trust to transform individuals, teams, and organizations. Through True North Partnerships, Kim continues to empower others to lead with purpose and authenticity.

I’ve been blown away by Kim’s positivity, and certainly feel empowered how she uses her area of expertise to learn her kids and how she uses it to be a better sports mom.
